Yiko Dimsum
Yiko Dimsum has recently opened in Porta Venezia area, a welcoming and well-kept restaurant that offers modern and revisited Chinese cuisine that is tasty, fresh and at a truly honest price.
From the open kitchen it is possible to observe the preparation of the dim sum, including the crystal dumplings, which are truly unmissable.
Among the specialties that I have tasted, and that I would recommend, dumplings are certainly in first place. Among those tried I recommend: edamame with truffle, scallop, ricotta and spinach with saffron mixture, Peking duck (these are a little spicy) and wagyu. All can be garnished with a sour sauce, soy with vinegar, or a chef's sauce made with coriander, olive oil, chili pepper, garlic and lime.
Don't miss the Iberian jamon patanegra cake with pork belly, chives and mushrooms. It is a revisited version of the mo, the famous Chinese sandwich: this is fragrant, a little savourier and very tasty.
The bowl (without flame) of seafood and meat dumplings is also excellent. The latter have a very tasty and inviting crust at the base.
The other dishes tried are the marinated prawns and cucumber with lime sauce (perfect especially during particularly hot days) and the fried rice with caviar and prawns.
If, however, you want to opt for a single dish, I suggest rice with curry sauce, vegetables and chicken cutlet. An option for midday in addition to the truly abundant and convenient business lunch formulas.
Added to all this are the smiling, prepared and fast dining room staff. In short, a place that was effectively missing along the Milanese shopping street.
