Wafu steak

Wafu means Japanese beef steak. It is a dish that is part of the yoshoku cuisine. The recipe is for one person. If you have no way of obtaining daikon (Asian radish) you can replace it with normal radish (although the taste will be more pungent). I accompanied this course with the potato salad. INGREDIENTS -1 beef steak (at least 2 cm thick) - 2 tablespoons of soy sauce - 1 tbsp sake - grated daikon - 1/2 lemon juice - 1 clove of garlic cut into slices - 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar - salt - pepper

PREPARATION - Prepare the sauce: mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, lemon juice, and sliced garlic in a bowl. Keep it aside. - Heat a pan. Once hot, lay the steak on it. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook according to your taste and then turn, to cook on the other side. Salt and pepper. - When the meat is almost cooked according to your taste, pour the sake into the pan and blend. Turn off the flame and remove from heat. Leave to rest for a couple of minutes. - Cut the steak into strips, arrange on a serving dish, drizzle with the previously prepared sauce and serve immediately with some grated daikon separately.
