UrBun

Ghost kitchens multiply in Milan, with great courage old and new entrepreneurs decide to throw themselves into the world of catering by experimenting with new formulas and recipes. Among the many who took to the track there is UrBun, which already from the presentation is a whole program:

You know that story of 4 friends at the bar who have an idea and decide to develop it? This is our case.

Andrea is the one who talks to me about this project which includes various friends united by a passion for good food and travel.

UrBun started quietly but, in my opinion, it already has all the prerequisites to be a reference point for lovers of good street-food in an international key, especially Asian, and looking for unusual, refined and all completely homemade products. .

All the proposals on the menu are the result of years of research that the "ghost chef" has carried out around the world. In fact, it is enough to take a quick look at the site to realize how much internationality there is in the sandwiches, or bun, to be precise, since at UrBun they do not use the usual canon bread but Chinese steamed buns with a very soft consistency.

The buns you will find on the menu are gigantic and super seasoned: Cheeseburger (scottona, cheddar, secret BBQ recipe, lettuce), Bao anguilla (panko fried eel, eel sauce, pickled onion, crispy iceberg), Bao anatra (shredded duck, bottom of duck, chives, seasonal coleslaw) and Vegetarian (soy tempeh, miso, iceberg, tomato, pickled onion, smoked mayo).

As you can see, Asia is celebrated through homemade fermented products, such as the excellent kimchi (to be ordered without thinking twice!) and miso. The sauces, genuine and tasty, are one better than the other and include ketchup, smoky pickle mayo, chipotle mayo and classic mayonnaise.

Added to this are delicious side dishes, such as fried fermented potatoes (very delicious), seasonal colasaw (excellent), classic fries or eel nuggets, and an equally interesting beverage choice.

Everything is carefully packaged in the most sustainable containers, perfect for consuming these delicacies both at home and out. Last but not least the price, which is really competitive.
