Sparpagliato

In Isola area, a new reality specialized exclusively in chirashi has opened, Sparpagliato. It is a real neighborhood chirasheria, a base where you can buy take away or order delivery a quick dish that is delivered free of charge by bicycle by the dedicated staff in a maximum of 15 minutes - at the moment deliveries are made only to Island.

A few months after the opening of Armonico, the same staff wanted to launch a new brand in Milan with the promise of expanding shortly with new bases in the city.

Cirashi in Japanese means "scattered": this dish, very ancient and appreciated, was originally indicated with the name of Edomae Chirashizushi (Edo was the name of the capital Tokyo). It is made from sushi rice topped with raw fish or other ingredients, in a seemingly random order.

The chirashi proposed by Sparpagliato comes with a compact and tasty sushi rice, seasoned with the secret "buddylossa" sauce. On the menu you will find both classic recipes and chirashi revisited and with intriguing combinations (such as L'Italiano, Pop Art or Graffiti). Among the most traditional I indicate the mixed Chirashi (particularly suitable for those like me who love blue fish, given the presence of mackerel which is not always easy to find), Sparpanguilla (composed of numerous and delicious lacquered eel fillets) and Don Tonno.

There is also an interesting vegan selection, as evidenced by Veg Vitamix (containing the delicious Japanese marinated pumpkin, called kanpyo) and Veg Tò-Fumè (with smoked tofu and chickpea cream).

To top it all, beer and canned soft drinks.

All the chirashi are well executed and tasty. There is great attention to raw materials, especially fish - Friend of the Sea certified.

The packaging is very accurate, cirashi will be delivered to you in colorful and fun boxes; a very different choice and far from the usual plastic bento. The same dedication has been placed on the website where you can place your order, where you will be "greeted" by Edo (the maneki neko mascot of Sparpagliato).

In conclusion, Sparpagliato confirms itself as a very promising, urban reality that really satisfies everyone, ideal for a quick lunch break (both at home and in the office) or a dinner during the week and, moreover, at an honest and accessible price.
