Qian Wei Fang 千味坊

In the north of Milan, in the Dergano area, stands the Chinese restaurant Qian Wei Fang.

Once you cross the threshold you will be catapulted into a kitsch environment in full 80s style. It is a place for regulars and families, especially Chinese, who basically come to have lunch here as the menu is very extensive (with Canton-Mandarin style dishes), the portions are more than generous and the price is simply ridiculous.

I was there for lunch and I ordered one of the gaifan on the menu, the typical Chinese single dish based on rice, vegetables and a protein. I tried the one with aubergines, potatoes and green beans and the one with seafood with vegetables: the flavor is average, nothing that screams miracle, all in all tasty. But what is striking is the size of the portion, you will have a hard time finishing it!

Among the house specialties, listed on the menu in Chinese and never translated, I tried the prawns with celery: not bad.

I recommend this restaurant if you are already in the area and if you are particularly hungry. You will spend very little and you will leave feeling full!
