Gaghe

If you love Korean cuisine and would like to replicate it at home, I’m sure you’d go straight to Via Paolo Sarpi, the Milanese China Town par excellence, to do the shopping. And yet you wouldn’t find everything retail. In Via Piacenza 24, yes, from Gaghe.

Yoyo, the owner, is Korean and she wanted to bring her culinary culture to Milan through the opening of a small shop at the end of 2016.

This is a really stocked store, with both Korean and Japanese products. There are dozens of toppings (including oils, sauces, different types of chili powder and pasta), noodles, rice, drinks and spirits, tea, snacks, confectionery, instant noodles, frozen and fresh products. But also pots and pans. There are even beauty products such as Mediheal face masks.

Personally I have always felt very good at Gaghe. Yoyo is a very nice lady and will tell you which products to choose through targeted advice.
