Dalgona coffee
Dalgona coffe derives from India, where it is called "phenti hui". Popularized through online sharing, Dalgona was discovered by South Korean actor Jung Il-woo during a visit to Macau. It was he who later made him famous in the television program Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant ("신상 출시 편 스토 랑"). Since then, many youtubers have started to offer it in their channels, up to making it viral on Tik Tok. The success of this drink peaked during the quarantine imposed by Coronavirus. Although the name derives from the Korean toffee Dalgona Candy, this drink does not contain the aforementioned candy, but soft and sweetened whipped coffee. Due to its appearance, it is often referred to as "cappuccino upside down" or also "magic coffee". It is possible to serve Dalgona Coffee both cold and hot and the type of milk to be used is at your discretion.
INGREDIENTS -2 tablespoons of instant coffee - 2 spoons of sugar - 1/2 glass or 1/2 cup (depends on how you want to serve it) of milk (you choose the preferred quality, I used rice milk) - 2 tablespoons of hot water
PREPARATION - Pour coffee, sugar and hot water into a bowl. Stir with a spoon to even out and dissolve the ingredients. - Whisk the ingredients until stiff peaks with an electric mixer. - Pour the milk into the cup or glass (you choose the container). - With the help of a spoon put the coffee whipped on the milk. - Enjoy Dalgona Coffee by mixing milk with whipped coffee.
